Utilities Service and Rates
Water Rates: In the Town of Pickens
● $19 water up to 2000 gallons/overage is $1.50 per gallon ● $8 sewer ● $23 garbage
Water Rates: Outside of the Town of Pickens- HWY 17 and Vaughan, MS
● $25.50 water up to 2000 gallons/overage is $1.50 per gallon Sewer and Garbage services are unavailable.
Property Owners:
- A picture id and proof of ownership (copy of deed or tax receipt matching picture id) is required to open an account.
- A water meter deposit of $100.00 plus a connection fee of $50.00 must be paid before any services will begin. The connection fee of $50.00 will be charged for any transfer of services.
Non-Property Owners:
- A picture id and rental lease agreement (in name matching picture id) is required to open an account.
- A water meter deposit of $250.00 plus a connection fee of $50.00 must be paid before any services will begin. The connection fee of $50.00 will be charged for any transfer of services.
NOTE: Late fee of $5.00 will be charged on bills paid after the 18th of every month. Services will be discontinued, water meters locked off or removed, and a cut off fee of $53.50 will be charged to all delinquent accounts not paid by the 25th of every month. Citizen's plumbing responsibility starts at the meter for water.
